Get Ready, Get Set, Get Engaged! Summer Learning Opportunities
In this episode, Clayton County Public Schools’ (CCPS) Superintendent/CEO Dr. Morcease J. Beasley is joined by Science Coordinator, Janetta Greenwood, and Director of Pharmacy Services at Southern Regional Medical Center, Dr. Darra Edwards, to speak about their collaboration with the summer learning opportunities for CCPS students. Ms. Greenwood speaks on the engaging instructional activities that students will experience, and the unique STEM thinking method they’ll apply to real-world issues, mainly the COVID-19 virus and vaccinations. Both Dr. Edwards and Ms. Greenwood agree that students have been a great source of information regarding the COVID-19 vaccinations, empowering their parents to make the decision to get vaccinated. Tune in to hear Dr. Edwards breakdown how the vaccines work to fight the COVID-19 virus and to learn more about registering for the CCPS summer learning opportunities.
